Annie Rose Memorials
Through the generosity of many individuals and groups, the following memorials have been established in memory of Annie Rose:
· Meditative Gazebo and Prayer Garden –Warrenton United Methodist Church: The church youth group and other members of the community constructed a meditative gazebo and prayer garden in Annie’s name next to the labyrinth on the church property.
· Annual 4-H Award – Fauquier County 4-H: Annie Rose was an active participant in the Fauquier County 4-H Fair. An annual award in Junior Baking has been established in her name by a donor.
· “A Song for Annie Rose” – Taylor Middle School Band: Annie Rose played the flute in the band. In her memory, the band commissioned a professionally written piece entitled “A Song for Annie Rose” by composer Barry Ward.
· Annie Rose Cheatwood Pisch Star – International Star Registry: A star in the constellation Andromeda has been named for Annie Rose.
· “Annie Rose Memorial Garden” – National Outdoor Leadership School: Through the generosity of a significant donor, the “Annie Rose Memorial Garden” was dedicated in October of 2006 at the International Headquarters of NOLS.
· Memorial Trees — In memory of Annie Rose a pink dogwood tree was planted at Taylor Middle School in Warrenton, VA and a blue spruce was planted at the Golden Willows Chapel in Taos, NM.
