Annie Rose never asked for anything for herself. She had compassion for those less fortunate – especially families and children she thought were in need.
The Annie Rose Angel of Kindness Fund (AOK Fund) was created to help raise money to perpetuate her memory by supporting those ideals.
Past contributions to the AOK Fund have benefitted the following:
· The Smile Train provides cleft palate surgeries to children in third world countries so that they will be able to smile.
· So Others Might Eat, a social service agency in Washington, DC, provides free meals and other services to needy families and children.
· The St. Agnes Academy-St. Dominic School Crisis Fund provides support to families in emergency situations.
· The Compassionate Friends Network provides support to families who have lost children.
· Youth for Tomorrow, a youth home, provides a second chance and a refuge for children who cannot live at home.
Over the past five years more than $25,000 has been distributed from the AOK Fund to support these organizations.
